Virtual Numbers for WhatsApp

Virtual numbers make registering accounts on WhatsApp simpler, making it much easier to manage and automate

Using a personal number for business risks blocking and privacy loss. Virtual numbers offer a solution, providing access to numbers from any country.

To register a WhatsApp account, all you need is to receive an SMS or a call. Various services that send OTP codes via webhooks or IP telephony can assist with this. Alternatively, you can use emulators instead of physical devices. We wrote about emulators in a separate article.

You're invited to join our beta testing! Our Device-Free API allows you to register virtual numbers on WhatsApp, receive SMS codes, and bypass captchas, all through the API.

Multiple Ways to Obtain a Virtual Number for WhatsApp

1. Official virtual number providers Official virtual number providers like Twilio, Vonage, and Voximplant offer numbers that support SMS and calls, but they require detailed business verification and technical setup (webhook or IP telephony setup). While these services provide APIs for integration, setting up SMS and call reception is your responsibility. Additionally, many of these numbers may already be ineligible for WhatsApp registration due to prior use in public services, complicating the process.

These providers are better suited for long-term business needs, but using them for WhatsApp registration can be time-consuming, requires technical knowledge, and doesn't guarantee success.

2. VoIP Exchanges

VoIP exchanges like DIDWW, CallHippo, and VoIP.ms offer virtual numbers from different providers with flexible terms. While these platforms provide a wide range of numbers at competitive prices, support is limited, and verification may be required. Many numbers may be temporary or previously used, complicating WhatsApp registration, and technical setup is needed for SMS or calls.

3. One-Time Activation Services

These platforms offer temporary numbers for quick WhatsApp registration or other services. They are convenient as the process is automated, requiring no identity verification or documents. Users can get a number within minutes and start receiving SMS or calls through a simple interface without technical setup. However, this approach comes with risks: the numbers may have been previously used or even stolen, making them unreliable for long-term use. Since these services operate in a legal gray area, we won’t provide links, but they are easy to find online.
