Setting up a proxy

The latest WhatsApp update has introduced a requirement that all devices linked to your phone number must be located in the same region—otherwise, you may encounter an authorization problem.

In the context of using Whapi.Cloud, an additional device refers to the Whapi.Cloud instance to which you link your phone number by scanning a QR code.

The WhatsApp application includes a proxy server settings option. We will provide a proxy address upon request to customer support. You should then enter the address you receive in the application settings.

Proxy Server Setup

Here is a step-by-step guide on setting up a proxy server using WhatsApp/WhatsApp Business for Android as an example:

  1. Open the Storage and Data section in the WhatsApp settings:
